Henry Niese
Henry Niese is an artist and teacher. His works are in various museums and collections, including the Whitney Museum in NYC, and The Corcoran Gallery in Washington DC. He has won several prizes for his work, including a Pulitzer award and the W.A. Clark Prize at the Corcoran Biennial. His first book, The Man Who Knew Medicine: The Teachings of Bill Eagle Feather, was based on his immersion in the Lakota Sioux culture and Sundance tradition. He teaches one or two short seminars a year at Eagle Voice Center. He is still Sundancing at age 89.
